Abstract

AbstractA small Indian dog, Canis familiaris, from Grasshopper Ruin, Arizona, and perhaps a larger form are discussed and compared with other dogs from southwestern sites. Remains of a gray fox, Urocyon cinereoargenteus scotti, and the southwestern coyote, Canis latrans mearnsi, were also collected from the ruins during the last two seasons of excavation.
