Abstract
Prof. Zoya Popovic´, her daughter Nina Popovic´ Basta, and student Laila Marzall recently wrote an article for this magazine promoting the Women in Microwaves (WIM) reception at the 2022 IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) International Microwave Symposium (IMS2022), which Prof. Popovic´ and her graduate students are organizing. I thoroughly enjoyed reading an early draft of this article, “Men and Women Together Make RF/Microwaves Better,” which is now finalized and starts on page 137 of this issue. I found it to be a wonderfully witty take on gender inequality within our profession, and so I used it as the inspiration for this column in that it allowed us to delve a little deeper into both their motivations for writing the article and their plans for the WIM reception at IMS2022.
