Abstract
LARYNGEAL and pharyngeal neurological symptoms may precede by a considerable time chest manifestations in a case of carcinoma of the bronchus. Indeed, the disease may run its course with only terminal lung symptoms-usually within twelve weeks of the onset of the laryngeal symptoms. W. L. Harnet t (i943) , tabulat ing the relative frequency of symptoms in 1,o63 consecutive cases of bronchial carcinoma, gives an incidence of hoarseness as I ' 5% (15 cases), and dysphagia or regurgitation 1-8% (18 cases).
