Abstract

KDIGO (Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes) is an international initiative to develop and implement clinical practice guidelines. In November 2009, KDIGO published its guideline for the management of kidney transplant recipients.1 This guideline was extremely comprehensive and spanned more than 150 pages. The Canadian Society of Transplantation (CST) and the Canadian Society of Nephrology (CSN) congratulate KDIGO, members of the guideline work group, and the evidence review team for producing such a thorough and exhaustive document.
