Abstract
The U.S. body politic is in a state of shock. Leftists/progressives inhabit a daily condition of what one scholar has described as a case of “political PTSD,”1 that is, walking around in a state of spiritual and emotional shell shock due to the election of President Donald Trump. The president tweets daily, imparting each day a sense of outrage and chronic state of mental inflammation upon the supporters of Secretary Hillary Clinton and Senator Bernie Sanders.
