Abstract

For over 100 years, researchers have sought to understand why people leave organizations. Theoretical and empirical research on turnover has evolved over time, enhancing our understanding of why people leave or stay. At the same time, the complexity of turnover models has grown, leading to more research questions needing to be answered. The purpose of this symposium is to present studies that advance turnover research through empirical tests of turnover theories, theoretical expansion, and methodological refinements.
