Abstract

It is conjectured theoretically that La2-xMxCuO4, with M representing tetravalent elements such as Zr, Ce, Hf, Sn etc. may be high-Tc n-type superconductors in which the majority current carriers are electron-like instead of hole-like as in p-type superconductors obtained from, for example, doping divalent elements Ba, Sr, into La2CuO4.
