Abstract
The article considers state citizenship (under the Nigerian constitution) in all its splendour. More narrowly, it analyses the first requirement (that is citizenship by birth) to certain elective positions in Nigeria. It also paints scenarios of dual citizens and how their dual heritage may or may not affect their aspirations to presidency in Nigeria.
