Abstract

In April, 2008, a 27-year-old woman came to the emergency department of her local hospital, with a 3-week history of dizziness, low appetite, and occasional vomiting. 2 months before, she had undergone an uncomplicated laparoscopic proximal gastric bypass for obesity; on discharge, she was prescribed multivitamins and lansoprazole.
