Abstract

Dynamic conformal arc therapy (DCAT) in full co-planar rotation is commonly adopted for efficient conformal dose delivery in SBRT. FFF beams can further increase delivery efficiency. For laterally located targets which are often seen in lung/liver SBRT, off-axis geometry (OAG) is inevitable to obtain full rotation without collision. However, it is questionable whether FFF beams can provide acceptable dose distributions in OAG due to their significantly asymmetric incident fluence profile. This issue was systematically investigated.
