Abstract
Since Socrates established the scientific discipline of ethics, the question arises as to what this scientific discipline can actually achieve. This article aims to explore whether computer-assisted ethics can support decision-making in hospitals. This question has been discussed in relation to self- driving cars and is known as “trolley problem”. Here, it will be examined in the context of medical and nursing ethics.
