Abstract

In Sudan, there is an increasing demand for teaching tropical medicine. However, there are significant problems accompanying the delivery of suitable teaching, including limited staff numbers, limited teaching time and lack of suitable teaching materials. The paper describes how the author used the theories of education and instructional design to develop a study guide that could support students in learning tropical medicine and help them to become active learners
