▪ Five-month Royal Society of Chemistry program in Huddersfield highlights contribution of chemistry to today's society Since November, the people of Huddersfield, a town in the English county of West Yorkshire, have been treated to a chemistry magic show, lectures, demonstrations, posters, and plays. They are part of an experiment, ending this month, to boost public understanding of chemistry. campaign, titled Chemistry-Working For You, aims to show that chemistry is not only essential to everyday life but also interesting and fun. Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), which is running the campaign, has employed the market research company Webster McCabe based in Harpenden, England, to evaluate the outcome of the so-called Huddersfield experiment.
