Abstract

We present two cases of postmenopausal women who underwent hormone replacement treatment (HRT) and experienced unusual mammographic changes with this treatment, changes that simulated tumoral lesions in both cases. One of the patients underwent cytological puncture and the results were compatible with fibrocystic mastopathy. In both cases, the discontinuation of the HRT lead to total disappearance of the mammographic images, obtaining control mammographies with normal glandular tissue.
