Abstract

This article explores perceptions about climate change manifestations, their causes and impacts on the daily lives of local social actors in the Technified Rainfed District of Margaritas Comitan, Chiapas (DTT011) located in Chiapas State, in the upper part of the Usumacinta River Basin. This research proposes to argue, based on empirical information, that irrespective of the perception of the concept of climate change, the impact of the variations in the periods of rain and the increase of the heat are observed, interpreted and felt at local level and these variations are having economic consequences, in that way, production systems are affected and crops are lost.
