Abstract
Calorimetric data are presented for the homologous p-n-alkoxybenzyliden- p′-n-pentyloxyanilines. The solid-state polymorphism is discussed in terms of free energy-temperature diagrams. Trends in the nematic-isotropic liquid transition temperatures, enthalpies and entropies are discussed briefly.
