Abstract
High resolution specific heat measurements have been performed on the linear-chain compound NbSe 3 between 50K and 160K. Two anomalies were found at 145 K and 58 K, respectively. Latent heat was detected at both transitions and hysteresis of nearly one degree at the 58K anomaly.
