Abstract

Distributed wireless communication system (DWCS) is a new architecture for a wireless access system, which can expand system capacity through dense frequency reuse. The paper proposes a call admission control scheme based on the average service SIR at the antenna for DS-CDMA DWCS under multi-service. Compared with previous mobile-service-SIR-based CAC schemes, this scheme only requires a lower system cost, and through unifying the different service residual capacities into the reference service residual capacity, the proposed scheme can set the residual capacity threshold conveniently and flexibly. An excellent performance is shown in simulation results; to achieve the best performance, adaptively selecting the proper admission threshold under varied system loading can be employed in the scheme.
