Abstract

Synthesis method of calix[4]resorcinols is based on the tetramerization reactions of aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes with resorcinol in acidic water-alcohol media [1,2]. Recently we pioneered in accomplishing the formation phosphorus-containing calixarene matrix in one stage by the reaction of resorcinol with available phosphorus-containing α-phosphonacetals in the conditions of acid catalysis. As a result the calixresorcinols bearing phosphorylmethyl fragments on a lower molecule rim [3] were obtained. The calixarenes of this type containing acidic phosphonate fragments were found to be effective extracting agents for the ions of lanthanum group metals from acid solutions. We obtained calix[4]resorcinols, in which phosphoryl group is separated from calixarene frame by ethylene bridge. DOI: 10.1134/S1070363209020303
