Abstract
Cλ (the quotient of the absorbed dose sensitivity for any radiation qualityand the exposure sensitivity for 2 Mv x-rays) has been determined for a Farmer-Baldwin dosemeter by chemical dosimetry combined with a 2 Mv exposure calibrationby the N.P.L. The radiation qualities were 137Cs and 60Co γ-rays and 4 Mv x-rays.The dosemeter was subsequently used to calibrate nine other ionization chamberinstruments. The Cλ values lie in the range 0.94-0.97, in reasonable egreement with expectation.
