Abstract

Introduction: The use of accelerometers to investigate physical activity has increased sharply in the last years, even outside high-income countries. However, there is no evidence that thresholds of accelerometers counts developed from high income countries can be valid for other settings. The different types of physical activities practiced across populations might play a role in this issue. The objective of this study was to develop thresholds for counts of ActiGraph GT3X, RT3 and Actical accelerometers in order to classify different physical activity intensities in Brazilian adolescents.
