Abstract

It is shown that the parameters obtained by fitting the entropy of the system to the observed one, can reasonably reproduce thermal properties of wide varieties of liquid metals in hard sphere and one-component plasma reference systems. The results calculated by both reference systems are in good agreement with experiment. The hard sphere system is also found successful to evaluate the specific heat of rare-earth metals and heat of vaporization.
