Abstract

The development of a numerical model of a fast-flow CO laser with an unstable resonator is reported. The results of calculations of selective lasing due to a specific transition in a medium having a homogeneous refractive index at various pumping rates are presented by way of an example. Distributions of the output radiation intensity in the resonator, determined in the diffraction approximation, and the energy characteristics are compared with the results obtained using the constant-gain model.
