Abstract

Calculations of quantum cross-sections for dissociative charge transfer in He ++H 2 collisions are undertaken in the frame of the infinite order sudden approximation for both rotation and vibration. Using a 2-state diabatic expansion, they are compared first with semiclassical coupled wavepacket results of Aguillon ( J. Chem. Phys. 109 (1998) 560) in order to assess the effect of the approximations made. Differential and total cross-sections are subsequently calculated using a 6-state diabatic expansion and compared with available experimental data.
