Abstract
A method for performing line by line calculations of atmospheric transmittance along variable pressure and variable mixing ratio paths is described. This method has been used to calculate the atmospheric transmittance for a vertical path through the atmosphere from a pressure level of 200 millibars and with a resolution of 0·5 cm -1 for the interval from 1·7 to 20 μ.
