Abstract

$B(E2)$ transition rates in $A=42$ and $A=43$ nuclei have been calculated in ${(\mathrm{pf})}^{n}$ model spaces using an effective interaction and effective charges obtained by summing the diagrams of the Tamm-Dancoff approximation for screened particle-hole vertices. Good agreement with measured $B(E2)$ rates are obtained for transitions between high-spin states. The results are further very similar to those obtained by parametrizing the effective charges.NUCLEAR STRUCTURE $B(E2)$ transition rates in $A=42, 43$ nuclei, calculated with ${(\mathrm{pf})}^{n}$ wave functions and realistic effective interaction and charges.
