Abstract

The authors describe a method for solving 3-D magnetostatic problems by which the vector potential is calculated from the scalar potential. The proposed method has been realized by a computer subroutine which is now part of the program system PROFI. As an example the distribution of the normal component of the magnetic flux density was calculated at the boundary of a symmetric iron piece.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
