Abstract

Currently, linear electric motors including reciprocating motion arouse interest. Such electric machines have a number of advantages: a direct relationship between the engine and the working body (actuator), simple design, and the electric motor itself is reliable in operation. These advantages determine the use of linear electric machines in electric drive systems in the following industries: oil production – using an electric motor as a drive for plunger pumps; metallurgical industry – devices for transporting liquid metals and melts; transport – electric drives for movement systems of land and water transport; metalworking – grinding machines, special plane finishing machines, etc. The article presents an algorithm for calculating transients in a cylindrical linear valve motor. Correspondence conditions between electric motors of rotary and linear motion are revealed. The authors compiled a system of Park-Gorev equations for the study of transient processes in linear motors and when designing electric drives.
