Abstract

An approach is proposed for solving problems on the stress-strain state of thin orthotropic circular plates subjected to distributed and contour loads, with allowance for local support on rigid or elastic supports. The problem reduces to the integration of the statics equations of plates acted upon by local loads. The magnitudes of the loads are determined by the conditions of compatibility of the plates and the supports. Results are presented from a solution of the problem for plates supported by a row of rods of circular cross section.
