Abstract

The fluorescence decay profile for diffusion-controlled quenching in fluid media with geometrical disorder, such as organized molecular assemblies, can be accurately described by an infinite product of exponentials containing non-integer powers of time. Consequently, the reaction rate is also an infinite series of powers of time.
