Abstract
We estimate the size of the induced pseudotensor form factor g 2(0) arising from SU(3) symmetry breaking for the decay Λ → p + e − + ν e . Saturation of the unsubtracted dispersion relation for g 2( O) with the lowest-mass two-particle states yields a value at least an order of magnitude smaller than that suggested by recent experiments. Implications of this result for the existence of second-class currents are discussed.
