Abstract

The electron scattering cross sections of the hydrogen molecule in its ground state are calculated with three types of configuration interaction wavefunctions based on the one-center expansion method. A wavefunction involving left-right and angular correlations is found to give good agreement with experiment. A table of calculated scattering factors is given.
