Abstract
Describes how the input impedance of two-terminal networks can be calculated by a rapid, simple variational method, in which one of Kirchhoff's laws is relaxed while currents or voltages are distributed in accordance with the unrelaxed law, the deviation from compliance with the relaxed law being used to calculate the distribution of current or voltage to be used in the next iteration.
