Abstract

The coefficient of hydraulic resistance of a dry layer of fibrous packing is determined. A relationship between the coefficient of hydraulic resistance and Reynolds number is derived as a result of processing of experimental data. The critical Reynolds number corresponding to the start of a self-similarity regime is established for fibrous packings.
