Abstract

A method is proposed for determining stress state of a rock mass basing on joint solution of problems on the main calculated domain and the zone of local inhomogeneity. The solutions are conjugated by satisfying conditions of continuous displacements on the boundary of these regions. The efficiency of the method proposed is shown in comparison to the traditional schemes of the finite-element method, and a numerical example of estimating stability of subvertical crack undermined by extraction chambers is cited.
