Abstract

The scattering intensity of cylinder particles is calculated with the Generalized Lorenz Mie Theory (GLMT) which is illumined in the Gaussian beam. The cylinder model is used to express the real non-spherical particles, and the scattering intensity of non-spherical particles is calculated due to the GLMT. The scattering intensity of the cylinder particle with the pane wave is also calculated as a comparison. All simulation experiments show the scattering intensity for the cylinder particles can be well calculated using this method, and it can provide an efficient method to investigate the scattering of the non-spherical particles illumined within the Gaussian beam.
