Abstract

Nuclear data of 89Y in the Japanese Evaluated Nuclear Data Library JENDL-3.3 were reexamined toward JENDL-4 in the neutron energy range above the resolved resonance region to 20 MeV. Cross sections and neutron emission spectra were calculated on the basis of nuclear reaction models such as the spherical optical model, the distorted wave Born approximation, the Kalbach preequilibrium model, and the Hauser-Feshbach statistical model. It was found that calculated cross sections were almost consistent with the experimental data for total, elastic, and inelastic scattering, (n,λ), (n,2n),(n,p) and (n,α) reactions. Agreement with experiments was better than that with JENDL-3.3 for the total and elastic scattering cross sections. It was also confirmed that measured neutron emission spectra were reproduced well by the present calculation compared with those by the JENDL-3.3 evaluations.
