Abstract

A description of an algorithm for calculating leakages for different structural implementations of screw compressors is given. The emphasis is on the surfaces forming the gaps between the working components of the compressor for the case of a single-rotor screw compressor. A simplification of the problem of absolute motion of the flow in the working gaps relative to the clipper teeth that adapts the boundary conditions on the surfaces of the teeth and the influence of the rotation of the clippers on the flow of the compressed medium through the gaps is evaluated.
