Abstract

Based on the analysis of the gas cleaning equipment operation in the technological schemes of gas purification at chemical enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the design of a two-stage shock-vortex apparatus with a regular tubular packing was developed. As a result of the studies carried out for the apparatus’ packed zone, graphical dependences of the mass transfer coefficients in the gas phase, heat transfer and dust collection efficiency on the gas velocity and irrigation density have been obtained. Similarly, for the zone of shock interaction of a gas flow with a liquid, graphical dependences of the dust collection efficiency have been obtained with a change in the gas velocity in the inlet fitting and the initial liquid level. Based on the studies carried out, methods for calculating the mass transfer coefficients in the gas phase and heat transfer, the dust collection efficiency in the contact stages and the overall dust collection efficiency have been proposed.
