Abstract

Extra losses in shell-form power transformers are calculated. Some analytical methods are proposed for the calculation of eddy-current losses, circulating-current losses, and transpositions. Based on these methods a code has been written. Some calculation and test results are reported for a 13.333-MVA single-phase shell-form power transformer built for this study.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">&gt;</ETX>
