Abstract

We have studied some static properties of 41Ca and 41Sc in the relativistic shell model. The nuclei 41Ca and 41Sc can be modeled as a doubly-magic 41Ca=n+(N=Z=20) and 41Sc=p+(N=Z=20), with one additional nucleon (valence) in the lf7/2 level. Then we have selected the modified Eckart plus Hulthen potentials for interaction between core and single nucleon. By using the Parametric Nikiforov–Uvarov method, we have calculated the energy values and wave function. Finally we calculated the charge radius for 41Ca and 41Sc. Our results were in agreement with experimental values and hence this model could be applied for similar nuclei.
