Abstract
In generalizing the Milne equation using the Wiener-Hopf method, the solution of the problem of multiple scattering by a medium with an isotropic single-scattering indicatrix for an arbitrary angle of incidence is found. The resulting solution is used as an initial approximation for calculating the intensity of coherent backscattering for an anisotropic indicatrix.
