Abstract

The extent of carbonate decomposition and calculation of carbon emission factor for CFB boilers of oil shale power plants are examined. The research results proved that CO 2 emission from CFB boilers of Estonian power plants is at least 20% less than that at pulverised firing of oil shale. It is recommended to additionally insert in the regulation of the Minister of the Environment a new value for the carbon emission factor for CFB boilers.
