Abstract
Shell-model wave functions are used to calculate the vector analyzing power in the elastic scattering of 0.2, 0.6, and 1 GeV protons on 15C and 15N nuclei within the Glauber diffraction theory. Single and double collisions are allowed for upon the decomposition of multiple scattering. It is shown that the number of oscillations and the amplitude of the analyzing power increase with rising energy in the same angular range.
