Abstract
AbstractWe show the derivation of parameters in the frequency domain from time‐domain data. Far‐field characteristics are obtained by a convolution formula with the harmonic field amplitudes, which are obtained via a Fourier transform or by sampling. The electric field of filter ports is expanded into the discrete eigenmodes. By this method, a monochromatic exact open boundary can be formulated and the fields divided into the incident and the reflected part. For wide band operation an a posteriori error correction scheme is presented.
