Abstract
Let be a connected reductive algebraic group and a reductive subgroup of it. Fix a Borel subgroup of and a maximal torus . The Cartan subspace is by definition a subspace of (where is the Lie algebra of the group ) spanned by the weights of all the -semi-invariant rational functions on . The spaces are calculated in this paper.Bibliography: 16 titles.
