Abstract

The first case of calcification in carcinoma of the rectum is reported. The relation to five reported cases of ossification in carcinoma of rectum and colon is discussed. The significant factor in this case appears to be that the primary tumour grew throughout 38 weeks of pregnancy. In a large recurrence which developed after pregnancy was completed there was no evidence of calcification.
