Abstract

Calcific tendinitis, although commonly found around the larger joints of the body is rarely found around the small joints of the foot. Two cases in the forefoot, their natural history, and a brief review of the current knowledge and treatment options are presented. Calcific tendinitis is largely a self-limiting process and thus, knowledge of this entity can save needless testing and treatment procedures.
