Abstract
This review is intended to up-date the literature which has appeared since the previous article by Armstronget al. [1] concerning the behaviour of the cadmium electrode in alkaline solution. In general the early literature will not be discussed since this is adequately covered elsewhere [2–7]. The wider aspects of the electrochemical behaviour of cadmium in various electrolytes can be found in the extensive review by Hampson and Latham [6].
