Abstract
The influence of the chemical composition of Cu-Ni alloy on the possibility and the nature of cadmium and lead underpotential effects on such substrates was determined. The values of peak potentials and differences between values of cathode and anode peak potentials were found to be functions of the chemical composition of the substrate. A relationship between the occurrence of underpotential deposition, the electron structure of the alloy and the electron work function was also found.
